Let Go and Let God Take Over

Trust Him fully and rest in His care.

1 Peter 5:7

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”

Praise the Lord, my friend,

Many times, we try to solve the problems in our lives on our own.

We plan, worry, and control situations, hoping that everything will work out.

Even after knowing that God calls us to give Him our worries completely, just as 1 Peter 5:7 teaches, we still try to control the situation.

I know that sometimes our mind tricks us into thinking that it is safer to rely on ourselves rather than fully trusting God.

But that’s not what the word of God tells us, my friend.

It tells us that true peace and guidance come only when we surrender everything to Him.

David experienced this many times in his life.

When Saul was chasing him, when his own family misunderstood him, and when enemies threatened him, David faced real fear and pressure.

Yet he did not let anxiety control his heart.

Psalms 56:3-4

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in You. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?”

You see, David trusted God’s care instead of trying to control every detail.

David’s trust did not mean that life became easy or that his problems disappeared.

He still faced danger, uncertainty, and betrayal. What it meant was that he refused to let fear dictate his actions.

He surrendered his situation to God, believing that God was greater than any enemy, misunderstanding, or challenge he faced.

Not only David but also Esther shows us what true surrender looks like under pressure.

She lived in a foreign land, far from her own people, and her life was in the king’s hands.

Her people faced destruction, and approaching the king without being summoned could have cost her life.

Yet Esther did not let fear control her.

She fasted, prayed, and submitted her situation to God, believing that He had placed her in that position for a reason.

She said to herself that perhaps God had chosen her to save her people at that very time.

By trusting God fully, she became the instrument of salvation for her people.

Even Job teaches us about surrender in the midst of suffering.

He lost his children, wealth, and his health.

Friends accused him, and he struggled to understand why these things were happening.

Yet Job refused to curse God or rely solely on his own understanding.

Instead, he said:

Job 1:21

“The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”

You see, Job’s submission allowed God to work in his life, restoring him and blessing him even more than before.

My friend, the struggles that David, Esther, and Job faced were immense, yet their hearts remained fully in God’s hands.

Just ike them, we are asked to surrender our fears, plans, and even our desires to God.

Yeah, submitting to God will not make our lives free from challenges, but it will give our hearts a peace that the world cannot take away.

So let’s cast every worry, burden, and anxious thought onto Him with a trust and hope that God will take care of it.

Dear Lord,

I lift up my friend who is reading this today. Please take every worry, every fear, and every burden from their heart.

Help them to trust You fully and to surrender their life into Your hands.

Give them courage when things feel hard, patience when answers are slow, and peace that only You can give.

Surround them with Your love, guide their steps, and remind them that they never have to face anything alone.

Strengthen their faith and help them to rely on You in every situation. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

Praise God.
