Faith In the Middle of the Mess
A raw reminder from Romans 12:12
Romans 12:12
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
Dear child of God,
I know verses like Romans 12:12 sound beautiful and are something we all want to live out.
But when life begins to feel heavy and uncertain, living them out can seem incredibly difficult, right?
Especially during seasons when everything around you seems to be falling apart and nothing is going the way you hoped.
Yet, the beauty of Romans 12:12 is not in asking us to be strong or perfect during difficulties.
It lies in the reminder to turn to God, believe, and trust Him no matter what you’re going through.
Yes, problems will arise, you will mess up, and life will feel hard, but if you’ve hope in Him, are patient for His will to unfold, and pray to Him, no conflict will feel too discouraging or difficult for you.
Why?
Because you’ll not face any of it alone.
Deuteronomy 31:8
“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid; don’t be discouraged.”
God will be right there with you, fighting your battles with you.
And, all you need to do is seek His name, pray to Him, be patient, and let Him work in your life.
So, if you’re going through a difficult time right now, please don’t give up.
Turn to God and have hope in Him and let Him walk with you.
Praise God.
